The president of the Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma, Reverend Epineri Vakadewavosa and his delegation were visited by leaders from the Body of Christ Network on Friday seeking forgiveness.

The Network include Pentecostal and Evangelical leaders from different denominations around the country. They visited the Methodist Church Headquarter in Suva. Covenant Evangelical Church of Fiji representative, Reverend Savenaca Nakauyaca, said the visit was a great blessing to the Body of Christ when Reverend Vakadewavosa accepted them with open arms.

“The gathering has indeed set a platform for greater things in this nation,” Reverend Nakauyaca said. “The agenda of the day was for us the Pentecostal pastors and Evangelicals was to come together and seek forgiveness from the Methodist Church in Fiji for all the past hurt and pains that may have caused friction or broke the relationship between the two establishments.”

Reverend Vakadewavosa was happy and humbled to receive such an initiative and reminded the leaders on the importance of working together and towards the same purpose in the Body of Christ.

“The last thing we need among ourselves is having a spirit of differences that will try and crumble the love we have for each other,” Reverend Vakadewavosa said. “We will not accomplish anything if we do things our own way. If there is unity within and among ourselves, God will surely command His Blessings.”
