VB Holdings Limited Appoints Lawyer Devanesh Sharma as Deputy Chairman
VB Holdings Limited (VBH) has further strengthened its Board with the appointment of a Deputy Chairman. This newly created position will be filled by the existing independent Board member Devanesh Sharma. VBH continues on its journey to raise the bar for corporate governance and effective functioning of its Board with Mr Sharma’s new appointment.

As part of its reforms, the Company recently appointed its first female board member Jinita Prasad, who is also an Independent member and heads the Audit and Compliance Committee for the Board.
Mr Sharma is a prominent member of the legal fraternity and currently the Chairman of the Tribunal for Sugar Industry and Council member of the Fiji National University.
He was the President of the Fiji Law Society from 200607 and is a Notary Public in Fiji.
He is also an accredited mediator with Fiji Mediation Centre.
He completed his law degree at Victoria University and was admitted to the bar in New Zealand in 1988.
With his extensive legal expertise, Mr Sharma has been a corporate banker and a legal auditor in the past. He also has experience in mortgage portfolio management, which complements VBH’s business.
