Ba 3 Joining Nadi Decision Today

- WAISEA NASOKIA Edited by Osea Bola

The fate of three Ba football players joining Nadi will be known today.

If given the green light, it will be just in time for them to feature against Lautoka in round two of the Vodafone Premier League clash at Churchill Park on Sunday at 3pm.

Nadi Football team director Mun Sami Chetty said the trio includes defender Avinesh Waran Suwamy, Rithik Prakash and Nailaga, Ba native Sakaraia Naisua.

“We are just sorting out the final details of the transfer, with Fiji FA had been notified and awaiting for the release from Ba FA,” Chetty said.

“We are positive towards this deal. Their inclusion will be important as we take on neighbours Lautoka who are preparing for the O-League. “Lautoka is a good side but we need to continue our winning ways.” Lautoka are now under coach Anand Sami and last Sunday they walloped minnows Nasinu 6-0.

Nadi sit on second position after a 2-1 win against newcomers Navua along with Ba and Suva.

On the other hand, Lautoka were also given a break to prepare for the OFC League but have requested to go ahead with the Nadi match this weekend, confirms Lautoka Football executive Narayan Reddy.

WEEKEND FIXTURES

However, all other VPL matches scheduled for this weekend will go as planned.

Labasa will host Navua at 1.30pm on Saturday at Subrail Park and Nasinu will face Rewa at Ratu Cakobau Park at 3pm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Ba Football manager Arvind Singh confirmed the SuvaBa match scheduled this Sunday has been postponed.
