Parents Have High Expectatio­ns From Head Prefects

The parents of Labasa College head prefects who are also teachers in the North have high expectatio­ns from their children.

Head girl, Prerana Nayna Lingam’s, mother is the head of the language department at Vunimoli Islamia College and her father is the head of commerce department at Labasa College.

Head boy Pawan Jeet Singh’s, mother is the head of the home

SCHOOL HEADS:

“I wasn’t sure teachers because of selection by there are many potential candidates for the head girl’s position,” Prerana said.

She is ready to work together with the 63 school prefects and 18 hostel prefects to maintain the good reputation of the school.

The eldest of three siblings to become a surgeon.

She said it is not easy being a leader at school, but she is confident. Also with plans to study medicine is newly inducted head boy, Pawan. He aspires to be a surgeon. His role models are his parents, Rohini Singh and Prem Singh.

“They have brought me up with an aspires idea of what a true leader is,” said the 17-year-old of Delailabas­a. “I will perform my duties to the best of my abilities for the welfare of all students.

“I will devise strategies to improve the running of the Labasa College Students Council for the year 2020.” Pawan, who is also the eldest of three siblings. thanked his teachers for their faith in him.

The college has a roll of and 42 teachers.
