During their meeting at the Salvation Army Church hall in Savusavu on Wednesday, she told head and assistant head teachers of this new policy coined by some in 2019.

“Some communities have told me that their assistant principal or vice principal tells them to find another school,” Ms Akbar said.

“I am telling you, none of that. Don’t be that kind of school head, find a solution.

“Talk to the child, parents and help them.”

Countering discipline issues

“I can understand your frustration because this generation is different,” Minister Akbar said.

“If you need help, talk to us or talk to the seniors who have been in the system.

I am sure they will help you.”
