Minister Akbar Tells School Heads: Don’t Tell Students to Find Another School
Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts Rosy Akbar has advised heads of schools in Cakaudrove Province not to tell students to find another school.
During their meeting at the Salvation Army Church hall in Savusavu on Wednesday, she told head and assistant head teachers of this new policy coined by some in 2019.
“Some communities have told me that their assistant principal or vice principal tells them to find another school,” Ms Akbar said.
“I am telling you, none of that. Don’t be that kind of school head, find a solution.
“Talk to the child, parents and help them.”
