Pacific Tourism Organisation announces new manager
The Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) is pleased to announce the promotion of Krishneel Muni Achari to the position of Finance and Corporate Services manager.
Mr Achari joined SPTO in 2013 as a finance officer and progressed to accountant.
Academic achievements
In 2016, he attained a double-major degree in Accounting and, Management & Public Administration from the University of the South Pacific,. Mr Achari is currently pursuing a Masters of Commerce in Accounting and credits his success to his family and mentor, Mr Anoj Sharma; a former Manager of SPTO. “I am thankful to my parents and my wife for always supporting me. “I’d also like to thank Anoj Sharma, who has been a great mentor in the field of accounting,” he said. Furthermore, Mr Achari acknowledged that the promotion was a valuable opportunity to help others in his field.
“I feel blessed to be given this opportunity to learn and grow both professionally and personally.
“I have been so lucky to have been surrounded by great leaders in SPTO, who have been generous with their knowledge and experience.
“I hope to also become a mentor for others in my field,” said Mr Achari. In commending him on his promotion, SPTO chief executive officer Christopher Cocker acknowledged Mr Achari’s exceptional service and loyalty to the organisation.
“Krishneel is a valued staff member and a pleasure to work with. His promotion has been a long time coming and is well deserved,” he said. “As we embark on a new and exciting decade, it is pertinent that SPTO retain exceptional and valuable staff such as Krishneel.
“I am positive that Krishneel willcontinue to serve SPTO and the Pacific Tourism industry with integrity, loyalty and passion,” said Mr. Cocker.
SPTO was established in 1983 as the Tourism Council of the South
Pacific.
Its 21 Government members are
American Samoa, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Nauru, Marshall Islands, New Caledonia, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Rapa Nui, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor Leste, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu Wallis & Futuna and the People’s Republic of China.
In addition to government members, the Pacific Tourism Organisation also enlists a private sector membership base.
