SOLOMON IMPORTS BOOST NASINU CAMPAIGN

-

The Nasinu football team are determined to turn things around against neighbours Rewa in today’s Vodafone Premier League clash at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.

Last Sunday, Nasinu were hammered 6-0 by Lautoka in an away game while Rewa were pipped 1-0 by Ba.

Boosting Nasinu’s chances are the signings of three Solomon Islands players of Atkin Kaua, Jared Rongosulia and Marlon Nonone.

Nasinu FA president O’neil Chand said striker Nonone and midfielder Rongosuli are already in the country while they await the arrival of Kaua.

“We’re pleased to have secured these three Solomon Islands players to add more strength to our team after the departure of some of our key players,” Chand told Fiji FA Media.

““All three players have been cleared and will feature for Nasinu this Sunday.”

The 23-year-old Kaua played as a midfielder for the Laugu United. He made his debut for the Solomon Islands national team on October 5, 2016.

Rongosulia, 24, played for Solomon Islands in the OFC Under-20 Championship in

Fiji and also featured for the Solomon Islands national team at the 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

The 21-year-old Nonone was in the Solomons U20 squad in 2017 and played for FC Isabel in the Solomon Islands National League. The match kicks-off at 3pm.

U23 reps join Blues

Former Nasinu and Rewa goalkeeper Joela Biuvanua, forward Tevita Rabakewa, Fijian Under-23 reps Muni Shivam Naidu and Arami Manumanubai have been cleared to play for Lautoka.

They could even play in today’s clash against Nadi in the second round of the Vodafone Premier League at Churchill Park, Lautoka.
