Fiji Airways Evacuation Flights for Fijians in Los Angeles, Sydney and Brisbane Arrive Today
Fiji Airways has confirmed three evacuation flights will arrive in the country today. These flights carry Fijians who wish to return to Fiji from Los Angeles, Sydney and Brisbane.
The Los Angeles-Nadi evacuation service flight FJ1832 was due to depart on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 (LA time), arriving into Nadi today.
Evacuation service
The airline will operate the following evacuation services from Sydney and Brisbane today, April 10, 2020:
·FJ1912 will depart Sydney (SYD) at 10.00am (Sydney time), arriving into Nadi at 3.50pm
·FJ1920 will depart Brisbane (BNE) at 11.40am (Brisbane time), arriving into Nadi at 4.50pm
Fiji Airways’ Managing Director and chief executive officer, Andre Viljoen said: “Fiji Airways guests holding unused tickets for Los Angeles-Nadi, Sydney-Nadi or Brisbane-Nadi flights are also able to book themselves on the evacuation flight at no cost by contacting Fiji Airways Reservations with their booking reference details at hand. “Limited seats are available on all evacuation flights. “All guests are advised that only Fiji citizens (Fijian passport holders) are able to enter Fiji at this time.
“As with all recent evacuation flights arrivals, all arriving guests on these flights will be required to go into selfisolation at a Fijian Government-mandated facility for 14 days.
“They will be unable to go to their homes or residences. Per the directive of authorities, transit passengers cannot be uplifted on evacuation flights to Fiji.”
