COVID-19: Mohammed Imroz thanks health team for support

- SHALVEEN CHAND Edited by Ivamere Nataro

Mohammed Imroz has been cleared and is one of the three COVID-19 cases that have recovered from the third cluster. Mr Imroz was patient seven, his wife is Afrana Arzu, patient six, and their daughter, Fadilah Bi, is patient 11. His father is patient nine and mother patient 14.

Both his parents have recovered and have been allowed to return home to Soasoa in Labasa.

He said the Ministry of Health and Medical Services had done wonderfully in controlling the spread of COVID-19.

“I tested positive for COVID-19, but I did not become sick like others. My chest was not sore and I did not have a high fever,” he said. “I am grateful to the Government in the way they have looked after my family and I. My parents and other family members in Labasa and us here in Navua.”

Mr Imroz is still at the Navua Hospital and is required to stay another 14 days after recovery.

As a man of faith, the most auspicious time of the year has started for him. Muslims all over the world are observing Ramadan.

He is hoping that the Ministry of Health allows him to return home, so he can clean up his house, observe Ramadan and prepare for Eid.

For him, this is sixth day after recovery and he has to endure another eight days

Although Mr Imroz is in the same facility as his wife and child, who are still active cases, he is kept separate from them.

He hopes the day is not far off when they are able to return home and celebrate Eid together.
