19 men, charged with failure to comply with orders, bailed

Nineteen men, who were found playing touch rugby in Lami on April 30, were granted bail at the Suva Magistrate­s Court yesterday.

They are; Ian Thorpe Filipe, Koli

Onorua, Nayasi Dumaru, Waisea Tuwai, Jimilai Onorua, Etuate Onorua, Jone Tuicakau, Ulaiasi Sorovaki, Setareki Varo, Aminisitai Mudunavosa, Viliame Mudunavosa, Metui Ratulevu, Sairusi Buresoli, Pauliasi Tuilau, Isikeli Vulaki, Etonia Waqalevu, Uate Vukikaubal­e, Pita Savou, and Jone

Matau.

All men, who are charged with failure to comply with orders, were released on $200 bail bond and ordered to bring a surety on the next court date.

Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa instructed them not to reoffend while on bail and not to interfere with prosecutio­n witnesses.

The men were told that their right for a lawyer will be given to them on the next court date.

The case was adjourned to July 27 for mention.
