GROCERY PACKS FOR VUNICAGI FAMILIES

The Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North (FFN) of the Committee is continuing to support the people living in the Vunicagi, Dreketi, confined area.

The committee donated $50 grocery packs to each of the 105 families in the confined area. Committee President Ram Lingam said the committee was always ready to support the people of the Northern Division, and they are grateful with their sponsor Vodafone. Mr Lingam said they also donated $500 cash to Sushil Chand in Daloka Settlement, Dreketi.

He said Sushil’s house burnt down this week, and he was immediately needing support.

“We always keep aside a certain amount of money so we can help people during the time of emergency,” he said.

Last week the committee also distributed groceries to the Soasoa confined area.
