Kalara marks Fire Fighters Day
Kalara Voceduadua, (centre) a female firefighter celebrates International Fire Fighters Day with her male colleagues at the Nadi Fire station. The Mokani, Tailevu native joined the National Fire Authority in 2017. She was inspired by her father Simione Voceduadua, a retired subofficer fire with the authority as well.
International Firefighter’s Day is observed on May 4, which acknowledge the work that firefighters do. In a statement, the authority’s acting chief executive officer, Mileta Seniroqa expressed her gratitude to all the fire officers and firefighters in Fiji, the Pacific Region and around the world, for their valued contribution towards fire safety and mitigation over the years.
