Wonderful achievement

-

Suresh Chand, Nadi

Ever since the COVID-19 restrictions were enforced here in Fiji, I don’t think a single day has passed by without police making arrests of people breaking them. Rather sadly not just a few but too many people have been caught defying the orders placed to save lives.

From the arrests made the indication one gets is that these people are similar to nocturnal animals who only venture and hunt at nights.

There is plenty of time for all of us to finish our daily activities well before the curfew is on. But as I said certain species need the cover of darkness to prevail.

Anyways, I think our police officers have been doing a very good job monitoring and apprehending the law breakers particularly in this crisis.

The courts are also operating beyond normal sittings to help clear the cases that builds up due to Coronavirus.

Thankfully owing to the efforts of our government including the frontline workers majority of sick patients have successfully recovered, no emergence of any new case and above all no lives lost. A wonderful achievement indeed I would say! Feedback: rosi.doviverata@fijisun.com.fj
