TWO ON CUR­FEW BREACH, AS­SAULT AND DRUG CHARGES BAILED

Two 21-year-old men fac­ing breach of cur­few, se­ri­ous as­sault and drug charges were granted bail by the Ba Mag­is­trates Court on Wed­nes­day.

Vil­iame Nabola of Nanoko, Ba, and Jo­saia Moce of Vat­u­laulau, Ba ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Sa­muela Qica.

They were each charged with one count of fail­ure to com­ply with law­ful or­der, one count of se­ri­ous as­sault and two ac­counts of un­law­ful pos­ses­sion of il­licit drugs. Mag­is­trate Qica granted bail for the ac­cused per­sons on the con­di­tion that each paid a bail bond of $500, pro­vide one surety each and re­port to the Ba Po­lice Sta­tion on two Fri­days of each month. The case had been ad­journed to July 28 for men­tion.

Tues­day sit­ting

OnTues­day, eight men fronted the Lau­toka Mag­is­trates Court for the same charges.

Ti­moci Seniqasa, Manoa Koresi and Isaac Noa Robin­son ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Nayani Kas­turi­ratne while Lepani Yavala, Valami Nadau, Jere­maia Sa­va­tini, Paras Ram and Seni­valati Vakalala ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Sekon­aia Vodok­isolomone.

Seniqasa, Koresi and Robin­son were granted bail on the con­di­tions that each pay a bail bond of $500, pro­vide one surety each, not to re­of­fend and fol­low a cur­few be­tween 8pm to 5am daily.

Yavala, Nadau, Sa­va­tini, Ram and Vakalala were granted bail on the con­di­tion that each of the men pay a bail bond of $300, re­port to the Lau­toka Po­lice Sta­tion every Wed­nes­day be­tween 7am to 7pm and fol­low a cur­few from 8pm to 5am daily.

Seniqasa, Koresi and Robin­son are to ap­pear in court on Au­gust 17 while Yavala, Nadau, Sa­va­tini, Ram and Vakalala are to ap­pear in court again on July 23.
