COMPOL COMMENDS REDUCED BREACH ARRESTS, SUPPORT NEEDED

Twelve people were arrested last night for allegedly breaching curfew. Six were arrested in the Western Division. The Southern Division recorded four cases while the Northern and Central Division recorded one case each. None was recorded in the Eastern Division No reports of social gatherings were recorded in the past 24 hours. Commission­er of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho said this was commendabl­e.

“However, members of the public are again reminded that the nationwide curfew is still in place from 10pm to 5am daily,” he said.

“We need your support and please treat all precaution­ary measures seriously.
