Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick were not told about Trolls World Tour ondemand release and they are asking to be paid
Los Angeles: Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick were not told beforehand that their film Trolls World Tour would be receiving an on-demand release and they want to be compensated for it.
Sources for The Hollywood Reporter revealed on Wednesday that the 39-year-old singer and 34-year-old Oscar-nominated actress were among the stars not informed ahead of the March 16 announcement by Universal Pictures that the film would be available for VOD.
The insider added that their representatives are asking for them to be paid, likely in the seven figures range, as they still did publicity for the film.
No doubt this is a touchy subject as big names in animated films earn box office bonuses.
Though the film has racked up over US$100 million (FJ$225.8m) in digital rentals over the past month, it is still millions in the red and may never recoup the money according to which is not a good sign for the two topbilled
THR stars.
