RABI PASSENGER DIES FOLLOWING ACCIDENT

A 66-year-old businessman has passed away after the vehicle he was traveling in veered off the road on Rabi Island last Tuesday.

This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro yesterday.

“A 16-year-old student whilst driving a van, conveying the victim went off road,” Ms Naisoro said.

“The man received serious injuries and was airlifted to Labasa Hospital.”

She said the passenger passed away last week.

“The two were of Uma Village and the accident happened around 7am.

“This case is still open for investigation,” Ms Naisoro said.
