From gym to zumba online for Litiana V
eteran athlete and fitness trainer, Litiana Miller did not stop working when the gyms closed.
However, she managed to start her zumba and all boot camp sessions online.
Online fitness training was something she always had an interest in and it was made possible through this coronavirus pandemic.
“We've just started our weekly zumba zoom sessions this week but I've been doing a few facebook livestream zumba prior to this,” she said.
“We managed to get a few of my past clients all over the world to tune in and dance with us. “I have always been interested in doing online fitness training as another option to serve those that have busy schedules and cannot make it to the gym.”
The online sessions has also helped other clients who lack the confidence to train with other people in gyms train within the comfort of their homes.
She has also made connections with her former clients who have moved overseas.
“There are also those that shy away or feel intimidated being in the gym with other people and prefer their own privacy at home,” Miller said.
“This has also given me the opportunity to reconnect with most of my clients overseas whom I've never heard from since they left our shores.
“On top of this I have a lot of expat clients who left Fiji and moved back to their countries but still want to be part of our fitness classes.
“Therefore during this lockdown period I saw the opportunity to make the online fitness sessions happen.
The health and wellbeing of her clients are paramount and the coronavirus pandemic has brought in new innovative ideas for her business.
“Just because gyms are closed doesn't mean you stop moving,” she said.
“Fitness instructors will go to any length to bring fitness to you because we care about your health and wellbeing.
“The coronavirus pandemic has opened up new avenues for my fitness business that I've never really tapped into before,” she added.
