Sigarara tours Kioa Island

Assistant Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management Jale Sigarara visit them during this COVID-19 pandemic. Mr Sigarara and his team of Government officials were well received by Kioa Council chairperson Maeli Savea on Wednesday.

“There are about 500 people living in 80 settlements on the island and everyone knows and practices good hygiene.”

Mr Sigarara also told the nine-member council that he was there to provide updates on COVID-19 and provide 50 bags of vegetable seeds.
