PM Tours Southern Kadavu

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimaram­a started his two-day tour of Southern Kadavu beginning with a talanoa session with the community in Kavala at the Kavala Bay Primary School yesterday.

Tropical Cyclone Harold had badly damaged 13 homes in the village, including the teachers’ quarters and the boarding facility.

The School Management for Kavala Bay Primary School had requested for government assistance in rebuilding the school.

The school has a roll of 112 students from kindergart­en to Year 8. Classroom blocks and teachers’ quarters for Kadavu Provincial Secondary School were also damaged. Mr Bainimaram­a ends his Kadavu tour later today.
