Police arrest 32 people

Thirty-two arrests were made in the last recorded 24 hours for COVID-19 related breaches. The Southern Division recorded the highest number of reported cases. The Southern Division recorded 24 arrests, 14 for breach of curfew and 10 for sporting activities.

Of the 14 breaches of curfew arrests recorded in the Southern Division, an off-duty police officer was arrested in Narere while a Fiji Correction­s Services Officer was arrested along Princes Road.

Three juveniles ages 14,15, and 16 years were arrested in the Southern Division for playing touch rugby with another 20-year-old in Tacirua.

In Navua, six men were arrested as they were also found playing touch rugby at the Pacific Harbour Beach.

Both the Central and Western Divisions recorded three reports of curfew breach, while the Northern Division recorded two reports.
