Regardless of Situations Mothers Are Frontliners

- MESSAGE FROM Feedback: wati.talebula@fijisun.com.fj Kamlesh Arya

Every day is an invaluable day for mothers. Mother’s Day once in a year comes to provide the stark realisation that a mother’s place and love for the family is priceless. These angels regardless of the situation are always frontliners. From dawn to dusk into the night their efforts continue for the well-being of the family. They are the planners of every minute aspect of families’ needs be that of meals, of health and well-being.

In today’s world they are also frontliners in a variety of job responsibilities.

They care for job deliveries with equal zeal and commitment and yet they are less recognised and less regarded both at the workplace and in the home.

The Arya Samaj proclaims the value of MOTHERS through the Vedic value of “Maatri Deva bhava” meaning mothers are selfless providers (Devis) and relentlessly advocates the same in all its functions and callings.

The Vedic values also advocate that for the family and the community, every day is Mother’s Day and they need to be given unconditional love and respect every day.

In today’s terms Mother’s Day by and large is a phone call and or a gift to remind them that a mother is conneted to her brood.

The Sabha believes that apart from their presence in the family, mothers are a blessing, a reservoir of sound advice, and an adorable gift from God.

As a society we need to show greater empathy and regard them as equal having equal rights to men many of whom may still see them as inferior and subservient to men.

May this Mother’s Day, bring a realisation that mother’s are irreplaceable.

The Sabha wishes all MOTHERS a love filled and peaceful Mothers Day.
