GULLIBLE LOT

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions, the so-called witchcraft doctors in Labasa who usually asked money in return for their service are now encouraging people to practise at home.

Some individuals practise at home by offering grog, alcohol like rum and cigarettes, sitting down on a mat wearing sulu reciting what they have been taught by the witchcraft doctors.

When things don’t turn out as expected, they return to the witchcraft doctors and end up paying double.

Meanwhile, the witchcraft doctors use this time to find out more information about what the customer is after and relay this to them upon their return.

What a cunning way of making money. And sad to say, some educated people are part of this gullible lot.
