Toulon dropout re­turns to Su­per Rugby NZ as a High­lander

Nehe Mil­ner-Skud­der is set to make a re­turn to Su­per Rugby af­ter sign­ing a new con­tract with High­landers.

The 29-year-old signed a three-year deal with Toulon but a shoul­der in­jury that also kept him out of the World Cup did not al­low him to fea­ture for the French club.

With the Top 14 sea­son in sus­pen­sion fol­low­ing the pan­demic coro­n­avirus, it is re­ported that

Mil­ner-Skud­der has can­celled his con­tract with Toulon.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­port from One News, Mil­nerSkud­der was ap­proached by High­landers ahead of the re­cently an­nounced Su­per Rugby Aotearoa com­pe­ti­tion that will kick-off on June 13. The com­pe­ti­tion will com­prise of five Su­per Rugby teams in New Zealand.

In the open­ing round, the High­landers will host the Chiefs while Blues take on Hur­ri­canes.

Mil­ner-Skud­der has played 13 Tests for New Zealand be­tween 2015 and 2018 and has scored 12 tries in it. He was also part of the All Blacks squad that emerged vic­to­ri­ous in the 2015 World Cup..
