President, minister lead charge against mosquito breeding places
Taking the fight to dengue-causing mosquitoes, President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote was at the Nanuku informal settlement in Vatuwaqa to help clean out mosquito breeding places. The president with Minister for Defence, National Security, Policing, Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management, Inia Seruiratu and civil servants, helped clean up parts of the settlement on May 13, 2020.
