US hands $157K of aid to RFMF

The US Am­bas­sador to Fiji Joseph James Cella yes­ter­day handed over equip­ment and sup­plies to the Repub­lic of Fiji Mil­i­tary Forces (RFMF) Com­man­der Rear Ad­mi­ral Vil­iame Naupoto.

The do­na­tion worth $157,000 was done at the Strate­gic Head­quar­ters in Suva. It would be dis­trib­uted to as­sist RFMF per­son­nel de­ployed in var­i­ous parts of the coun­try.

It is aimed at as­sist­ing govern­ment agen­cies in the re­sponse to COVID-19 and the dev­as­ta­tion of Trop­i­cal Cy­clone

Harold. Am­bas­sador Cella said he was hon­oured to present the do­nated items which would fur­ther en­hance the RFMF’s re­silience and also hoped to con­tinue the strong part­ner­ship in the fu­ture.
