Nadi Farmers Club is up for sale. Director Tracey Farrington said the club was on the market for $200,000, and includes everything on a walk in-walk out basis.

She and husband Thomas Lui decided to sell the club to allow them more time to focus on their Nadi farm.

The club, on Ashram Road, will re-open this weekend to feature its garden convenience facilities for a street sale outside.

“We are supporting Nadi Town Council chief executive officer

Craig Powell by opening up the facilities for the customers expected this weekend,” Ms Farrington said. “We are waiting for the Prime Minister’s announcement to decide anything else.

“The price is realistic considering the current COVID-19 situation and this is a well-known place. “Tom and I took over the place in 2010, and we took the facility from a very run down club to an international standard setting that is being merchandised around the world.

“We have always been supportive of our local Fijian talent of musicians and vocalists and entertainers continually offering live bands and DJ.

“The club has been the venue for international musicians and artists to perform.”

In 2013, the couple listed their business on the internationally acclaimed travel website TripAdvisor, winning prestigious awards of Certificate of Excellence in 2013 to 2017 and in 2019.

“We hope to win 2020 as our swan song.”

Maintain standards

Ms Farrington attributed the victories to the standard they had implemented to raise the image of the club.

“This place is outside of the

5-star setting.

“It is a beautiful place with riverside gardens and the entertainment that is held here every week.”

The club three level facilities include a middle market Denarau Island

Nadi Farmers Club owners Tracey and Tom Farrington. the riverside garden where the bar and restaurant area is on the ground level, a nightclub and three offices on the first floor, and a roof area which is yet to be developed.

“We are looking for a buyer who will have that vision and passion to develop the roof area into a cocktail bar to complement the work we had put in to bring this place from scratch to where it is.”

She said the place was worth more than the asking price.

The club can host 350 guests, although it once catered for over 600 people for a function attended by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.
