Weta hails M-PAiSA

- FREDERICA ELBOURNE Feedback: com.fj frederica.elbourne@fijisun.

Weta Coffee says it is surprised by the growing number of customers who are using MPAiSA services.

Co-owner Mue Bentley Fisher hailed the innovative mode of payment saying it was one less dirty way of doing business under the coronavirus guidelines. While the sum of M-PAiSA users at Weta Coffee do not outnumber cash customers, Mrs Fisher has urged more customers to resort to the digital form of payment.

“I would like less cash on site. “M-PAiSA helps us that way.”

Mrs Fisher said Vodafone Fiji’s unique method of electronic payment helped reconcile accounts at the close of business.

“It goes straight to the bank where it is digitally recorded.

“To increase that form of payment would be good.”

Vodafone Fiji launched the service last year, saying 100,000 users have subscribed to the service since.
