LOOKING FOR SPONSOR
NADI FOOTBALL NEEDS $$$ AS JACK’S DEAL COMES TO AN END
The Nadi Football Association executives are now looking for a major sponsor. This was confirmed to SUNsports on Monday by Nadi FA president Ashwan Singh indicating that they were confident of getting a sponsor to back up their programmes.
Singh said their sponsorship deal with Jack’s of Fiji, had come to an end.
“We’re searching of a major sponsor to take the association through this season,” he said. “It will be tough this season due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown but we cannot compromise the development of football in Nadi.” Singh added that players had been given their own training programme and guidelines they must adhere to.
“Due to government restrictions that are in place we cannot meet for training but the players should be following their programme.
“The onus is on them to follow it.”
He said they were waiting for Government’s health directives before they set a new date for the start of their competition.”
NFA vice-president and youth team director Munsamy Chetty echoed similar sentiments as he believed that getting a sponsorship would further help in the development of football in the district.
