NAGADO VILLAGE ACTIVATE 14-DAY CAMPAIGN AFTER REPORTED CASES

-

Nagado villagers in Nadi have activated a 14-day Leptospirosis, Typhoid and Dengue Diseases (LTDD) clean-up campaign.

Village headman, Alekisa Ranadali, confirmed that they were directed last week by the Ministry of Health after LTDD cases were confirmed there.

Retired nurse, Sala Burenitu, said a health committee was also set-up to ensure that villagers adhere to the directive by the ministry.

“I was approached by the medical team to be part of the health committee based in the village where we have two reps from each Yavusa,” she said.

“As part of the village we are grateful for the ministry to come down to our level and stress the importance of keeping the village clean.”

Children have also been actively involved, she said.
