China to pilot ‘schools for future technologies’

Beijing: A number of “schools for future technologies” will be established in some of China’s universities, the Ministry of Education said. The pilot programme comes amid the ministry’s efforts to promote the development of new engineering disciplines and foster the cultivation of future technological leaders.

Schools for future technologies will explore substantive cross-disciplinary cooperation among different academic fields and modes for cultivating leaders in future technologyrelated innovations.
