Caubati junction

My deepest condolences to the family in Caubati who recently lost a loved one as a result of a road accident. This accident occurred at the Caubati junction - which many of the residents, including myself, would classify as a very dangerous junction.

For motorists coming from the junction, trying to go to Suva or Nausori, it is quite difficult to see the oncoming vehicles from Suva, given the elevation of the road. Additionally, vehicles coming from Nausori are often at top speed due to the down hill effect at this junction.

Therefore, I am urging the relevant authorities (Fiji Roads Authority, Land Transport Authority and the Nasinu Town Council) to consider putting up a lighting system to allow for some control at this junction and prevent futher accidents.
