Vodafone Fijian football head coach Flemming Serritslev is keen in developing more young talents in the country.

In his aim to raise the standard of football in Fiji, he is now reaching out to the grassroots level.

In his next move, Serritslev is conducting seminars for youth coaches.

The Southern and Eastern youth coaches would be having their seminar on Friday while the North and the Western youth coaches’ seminar is set for next week.

“We’re working with youth coaches because they are the talent developers,” Serritslev said.

“It will be for coaches who are coaching between 13 to 19- year-old boys and girls teams.”

Last month, Serritslev conducted workshops for senior districts coaches where certain issues were raised.

“Some of the topics we discussed with the district coaches makes me hopeful that we can make the game played at a faster pace here in Fiji.”

REVIEW

Meanwhile, the Fiji Football Association executive members met on

Tuesday to review match dates.

Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf said all game dates would be approved by the board.

“We discussed revision of the calendar and the kind of games we can hold provided the restrictions are over,” he said.

“We made a plan and this will go to the board on June 6 and the board will make the final approval and announcement.

“If Government restrictions are over and the announcement is made, then we will go ahead.
