DOUBLE STANDARDS CLAIM IN OFFENCE

A young woman fined $40 for putting out white goods for collection is wondering why double standards were being followed by the city council.

She was fined as she put out a mattress and books for collection.

In her case, the rubbish was collected.

She is now furious that her neighbours, students at the university by the sea, were let off with a warning for the same offence. She is wondering if her fine can be revoked.
