Airlines all over the world have started to lay off a huge number of their staff at all levels.

They have also accepted the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic by letting go or returning the leased passenger planes, yet we in Fiji, despite the $455 million loan guarantee by Government on top of the existing loans, are unable to retain our workers in their jobs.

Yet, the Government talks of pride in regards to Fiji Airways, but than what use is pride if it does not put money in the pockets of our citizens and food on the table for them and their families?

I am confused by the goat strategy and would appreciate transparency with how our economy is being managed.
