If you ever want to get away from all the hus­tle and bus­tle of the busy Suva area, Colo-I-Suva Rain­for­est Eco Re­sort would make the ideal choice.

With 22 rooms spread across the re­sort, guests can ex­pect a peace­ful stay.

Lo­cated along Princes Road, ColoI-Suva Rain­for­est Eco Re­sort of­fers guests bird watching ser­vices - and an op­por­tu­nity to be one with na­ture with its lake view restau­rant.

The restau­rant area has been a thriv­ing part of the eco­tourism re­sort.

Di­rec­tor Brian Riches said the restau­rant of­fers af­ford­able ba­sic com­fort food like fish and chips and burg­ers.

“Dur­ing the week, the restau­rant is open from 11am – 2pm and 5pm – 8pm while on the week­ends, it opens from 11 – 8pm while the bar area is open all day ev­ery day.

“We’ve got the best burger in town, and a lot of guests say that as well,” he said

“We also focus on Fi­jian on our black­board daily special where you or­der and you get a va­ri­ety of lo­cal dishes in a plate called ‘Tasty Fiji’ which costs $28.

“On the week­ends we make our pop­u­lar Kokoda,” he said.

Happy hour prices ap­ply all day


The restau­rant uses freshly caught mag­imagi for its fish and chips menu.

Mr Richaes said guests who visit the restau­rant get a dif­fer­ent ex­pe­ri­ence as they can watch the birds and the for­est while en­joy­ing a meal.

The restau­rant also makes fish burg­ers, chicken burg­ers and veg­gie burg­ers for veg­e­tar­i­ans.

Colo-I-Suva Rain­for­est Eco Re­sort has 12 dif­fer­ent room types.

There’s the bud­get rooms, stu­dio rooms and the bu­res.
