Nausori Highlands murder case adjourned to June 23 for mention

The Nausori Highlands murder accused Mohammed Raheesh Isoof’s case was heard before Justice Chamath Morais at the High Court in Lautoka.

Defence lawyer Iqbal Khan was not present in court, however, a representa­tive appeared on his behalf.

Prenika Lata represente­d the prosecutio­n.

The accused was in remand and not present in court during the proceeding. Isoof is charged with the alleged murder of carpenter Nirmal Kumar, his 54-year-old wife Usha Devi, their 34-year-old daughter Nileshni Kajal and her two daughters Sana aged 11 and Samara, eight, between August 25 and 26, 2019, in the Nausori Highlands.

The case was adjourned to June 23 for mention.
