Issued from the National Weather Fore- casting Centre Nadi at 3:30pm on Thursday the 4th of June 2020.

Situation: A trough of low pressure remains slow moving to the north of Vanua Levu. It is expected to gradually drift south over the group from later today as it merges with another trough approachin­g the group from the west. Associated cloud and showers continues to affect the northern and the eastern parts of the group.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group: Some showers with isolated thundersto­rms and heavy falls expected

over the eastern and interior parts of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands and Lomaiviti group. Elsewhere, cloudy periods with brief showers and afternoon or evening thundersto­rms. Showers becoming frequent and heavy from later today.

Moderate to fresh easterly winds. Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for tomorrow: Occasional showers and isolated thundersto­rms over most places.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Cloudy periods with some showers and isolated thundersto­rms with heavy falls expected. Showers becoming frequent and heavy from later today.

Sigatoka / Coral Coast: Cloudy periods with brief showers and afternoon or evening thundersto­rms.
