“The Fijian Government and people have adopted a host of measures against the virus and achieved positive outcome under Prime Minister Bainimarama’s strong leadership, which have not only protected people’s safety and health, but also set an example for global COVID-19 response among small island countries. It’s heartening to see that both China and Fiji have successfully brought COVID-19 under control, and work and life is gradually returning to normal.

China is ready to work with Fiji and Pacific Island countries to focus on the ‘post COVID-19 era’, actively expand practical co-operation in all areas and advance early economic stability and recovery, so as to deliver more benefit to the Pacific people.”
