SPX GOES LIVE WITH NEWLY DESIGNED WEBSITE

-

The South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX) is pleased to announce the launch of a newly designed website – www.spx.com.fj. The new website features an updated design, improved functionality and easy access to essential stock market information, all aimed to deliver a better and more effective and elevated user experience for investors, listed entities, stockbrokers, analysts, media, academics, market regulator and the wider website audience.

Commenting on the launch of the new website, SPX Chief Executive Officer, Ms Krishika Narayan said: “The SPX website is considered as an information hub by various users and as such needs to remain competitive not just in terms of informative and accessible content but site aesthetics and imagery as well.

“Our earlier website, while serving the purpose, had not been changed for more than 10 years, however, during that time, internet accessibility as well as website standards has evolved greatly.

To address these changes, we solicited suggestions for website improvement and examined other stock exchange websites for features that would make the SPX

website easy, productive and a delight to use.”

Ms Narayan concluded by acknowledging the enthusiasm and commitment showcased by the SPX team led by the Business Development Manager, Mr Pretesh Prasad and the website development team at Datec Fiji Limited for successfully undertaking the SPX website revamp project.

Some of the features deployed on the new website include; interactive services with the provision of share price and market indices charting and download facilities, enhanced company search options, optimisation for smart mobile devices and different internet browsers, integration with social media platforms, an upgraded Market Announcements Platform, newly introduced Compliance Lodgement Portal and a Data Vendor Portal.

As a step forward, listed entities through a computing interface now have an option to display company share prices on their own individual websites.

This option allows listed entities to develop a dedicated online investor relations page for their shareholders as well.

This further extends to media organisations as all listed entity share prices can now be displayed on their online business pages.

The new website also provides an option to organisations that wish to extend their reach beyond their traditional advertising platforms to instantly consider the revamped SPX website as a new medium to promote their brands.

The launch of the revamped online presence ensures that SPX remains at the forefront of digital transformation which would assist the organisation to remain a key player in Fiji’s overall financial market structure.
