Tahiti and Bora Bora reopening to tourists from all countries
On July 15, Tahiti, Bora Bora, Mo’orea and other French Polynesian islands will reopen to tourists from all countries and will not be requiring a mandatory 14-day isolation period for visitors.
During a recent press conference by the President and the High Commissioner of French Polynesia, it was concluded they’ve successfully protected themselves and are getting ready to reopen.
They deem their health situation completely under control, no new cases since May 29, and above all; no deaths. Countries That Can Travel To Tahiti and Bora Bora (French Polynesia):
Starting on July 15, tourists from any country worldwide may enter Tahiti and Bora Bora with NO isolation period.
However, there are still some health and safety protocols and requirements the French Polynesian government are asking of visitors.
They include: ■A negative covid test taken within 72 hours of departure
■ Proof of travel insurance ■Weari■g a mask during the inbound flight ■Comp●eti■g a certificate of honor stating they will respect social distancing measures and report any symptoms of they arise during their stay ■Arrive with proof of accommodation ■Weari■g a mask in appropriate places during
their stay
■Accept to potentially being randomly selected for an on-the-spot test
Even though French Polynesia doesn’t get a massive number of tourists per year, tourism is the country’s primary economic contributor with service industries counting for 75 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product.
Having tourists return to visit the islands are key for the French Polynesian economy.

To welcome back visitors, most shops, restaurants, hotels and attractions will be open in July.
