Jennis Selected For Leadership Forum
Fiji Sun Digital Journalist Jennis Naidu has been selected to participate in the World Editors Forum (WEF) Asia Chapter ‘Young Media Leaders Fellowship.’
She is the only journalist from the Pacific region to be part of the programme.
The WEF Asia chapter is the regional network in Asia for editors with the World Association Of Newspapers-IFRA.
The one week programme was initially scheduled to take place from March 9 - 13, 2020 in Singapore.
But because of country lockdowns and travel restrictions globally, the Fellowship has been restructured into an online programme, which started yesterday using Zoom.
Once travel restrictions are lifted, the rest of the programme may still take place in Singapore around the Asian Media Leaders Summit, now rescheduled for January 20 - 21, 2020.
The aim of the programme is to nurture the next generation of media leaders who can contribute to the pursuit of good journalism and build capacity in their newsrooms to meet the needs of their societies in these uncertain times.
