Subrail Park ready by September

The Special Administrator of the Labasa Town Council Ami Kohli confirmed Subrail Park would be ready for use by September.

Kohli’s response follows after Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel revealed plans over the weekend to bring the Fiji FACT tournament to Labasa this year. He said due to COVID-19 pandemic, remedial work of the park was on hold since March.

“Once we get the green light from the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama on the removal of restrictions we will begin with the groundwork,” Kohli said.

“We have been liaising with the relevant engineers who have carried out the inspection of the park including the pavilion.

He said funds were available and the Council was carrying out essential paperwork to get things done.
