Alleged robbers case next week

-

Two men, who were allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery case on Sunday and were caught by bystanders, will appear in the High Court in Suva next week.

Bob Harry and Manueli Nayacalevu appeared in the Nasinu Magistrates Court yesterday charged with aggravated robbery.

Their case was transferred as they were charged with an indictable offence.

They have been remanded in custody and their case has been adjourned to June 19 for first call in the High Court.

In a statement on Wednesday, Police alleged that one of the accused forcefully opened the door of a car belonging to a 31-year-old manager after he had pulled over to the side of Ratu Dovi Road to check on his daughter who was crying. The accused allegedly opened the door and ran away with a bag containing cash and other assorted items towards the Nadera Public Rental Board housing estate.
