Pakistani PM vows tough attitude toward violators of COVID-19 measures

Islamabad: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated his government’s tough stance against violators of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to curb the spread of COVID-19 in his country amid recent surge in numbers of new cases. The PM said the government would take strict actions against those who are violating the SOPs as the government feared that the number of confirmed cases and deaths of COVID-19 would further rise in the coming days and likely to hit its peak at the end of July or early August.
