USP COUNCIL MEETING SET FOR FRIDAY
THE URGENT MEETING OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC (USP) COUNCIL IS SET FOR FRIDAY THIS WEEK.
The meeting will address issues surrounding the investigation of suspended vice-chancellor Professor Pal Ahluwalia. This was confirmed by the USP Council chairman and Pro-Chancellor Winston Thompson on Saturday. Nauru President Lionel Aingimea has acknowledged the letter Mr Thompson wrote him, which highlighted that the matter must be dealt with at the first possible opportunity. In response to the letter, Mr Aingimea said for security reasons, the Zoom meeting should not be compromised by having USP staff involved.
