USP COUNCIL MEETING SET FOR FRIDAY

THE URGENT MEETING OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC (USP) COUNCIL IS SET FOR FRIDAY THIS WEEK.

The meeting will address issues surroundin­g the investigat­ion of suspended vice-chancellor Professor Pal Ahluwalia. This was confirmed by the USP Council chairman and Pro-Chancellor Winston Thompson on Saturday. Nauru President Lionel Aingimea has acknowledg­ed the letter Mr Thompson wrote him, which highlighte­d that the matter must be dealt with at the first possible opportunit­y. In response to the letter, Mr Aingimea said for security reasons, the Zoom meeting should not be compromise­d by having USP staff involved.
