Ihope that my son is okay, that nothing is wrong with him and for him to come back to us.

This is the desperate plea of a mother living in Sydney, Australia.

Hellen Lucille’s 29-year-old son, Mitchell Brown, failed to return home after going to a shop in Raiwaqa last week Tuesday. Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that a missing person’s report was lodged at the Raiwaqa Police station. Members of the public are advised to contact Crime Stoppers on 919 if they have any information on Mitchell’s whereabouts.

Ms Lucille, 56, said she only found out on Thursday last week that her son was missing, and that Mitchell’s father did not report the matter to Police.

“When I found out I immediately called the Central Police Station and the Raiwaqa Police Station to report the matter,” she said.

“Due to the restrictions placed globally, I am unable to travel to Fiji to help my family and Police search for Mitchell… My mind is just running around in circles trying to think where Mitchell could’ve gone to or otherwise.”

Ms Lucille said her son was well known in Raiwaqa.

“Mr Brown was last seen on the June 9 with friends and was last sighted near the Raiwaqa Market Area,” the report said.
