Excellent testimony

The visit by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama to Namoli Village, Lautoka and Dravunui in Tailevu last week to officially open their respective seawalls, that were funded through government, was a blessing to the elders of the villages.

One such testimony by Ratu Josefa Turuva from the chiefly household of the Taukei Veidilo at Namoli and is the father of Viliame Satala, who is well known as the “Stretcher” in the 7s code. As reported in the Fiji Sun, Sunday, June 14, and witnessed by those of us present, Mr.Turuva informed the PM and all those present that his late dad had repeatedly wrote to the late Ratu Mara [Alliance Party], Rabuka [SVT], Qarase [SDL] and Chaudhry [FLP] and neither of those past leaders responded to those requests.

He also made mention that he has letters to prove his claims, but was full of praise for the FijiFirst Government leader for promising to find the funds when approached to construct one and build their coastal protection seawall on their village front, smiles and words of Vinaka Du Riki Vakalevu can be heard throughout as our PM shook hands with all those present during the opening ceremony.

That is talking the talk and talking the talk indiscriminately and reaching out inclusively to all Fijians irrespective of their political affiliations from the FijiFirst leader.
