Illinois Attorney-General test positive for COVID-19
Washington: U.S. officials have called for stricter implementation of COVID-19 control measures after some tested positive for the virus, amid a rise of cases in the United States. On Tuesday, Illinois Attorney-General Kwame Raoul announced he had tested positive for COVID-19.
“My symptoms continue to be mild, and I am in regular contact with my staff in order to continue to manage the operations of my office,” Mr Raoul said in a statement.
The A-G has been in self-quarantine since he began experiencing minor symptoms, local media reported.
Mr Raoul’s office is in the process of notifying people who may have come into contact with him.
