Serritslev: All set for training

Vodafone Fijian football head coach Flemming Serritslev is keen to start training sessions with the national team.

Now that he has completed coaching seminars in all the districts for senior and youth coaches, Serritslev says, the practical of those theories are important.

Fiji Football and all other contact sports federation are still awaiting Government’s approval to lift the COVID-19 restrictions. “Now we already have six seminars done, I have to go out now and start training,” he said.

“Try to use some of those ideas, to where it is suitable.

“We are waiting for the games to open up again so that we can get going. I’m sure everybody involved in sports would want to be active again.”

Serritslev has highlighted from the seminars that teams need more time for preparation before tournaments.

“One of the things we spoke about on this seminar for the district coaches is to prepare as well, physically and keep in check from time to time,” he said.

The current members of the national football team are being monitored by their district coaches.

“I have spoken to all them a while ago, and they have all been asked to keep fit as possible.”
